The Accounting Specialist I is an entry-level position based at the Blackstone Main Office, supporting the day-to-day operations of the Bank’s Accounting and Finance Department. This role assists with accounts payable processing, maintains accurate financial records, and supports routine reconciliations to ensure data integrity. The Accounting Specialist I also contributes to financial reporting by compiling and organizing information, helping to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to develop foundational accounting skills in a collaborative banking environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Two + years experience in accounting or bookkeeping preferred
- Associates or Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus
- Prior banking experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational & time management skills
